A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCA_MONGA, C/LLIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING FEES IN LIEU OF
UNDERGROUNDING OVERHEAD UTILITY LINES WHEN REQUIRED BY
PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAl,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council of the City of
Raucho Cucamonga wishes to effect the removal of unsightly existinE overhead
utility lines in order to promote a more aesthetic and desirable working and
living environment within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that it is necessary to
establish methods to equitably share cost and to accomplish undergrounding in
the most cos~ effective manner; and
WHEREAS, the City Council and Planning Commission further recognize
that in certain cases, it is impractical to require development to underground
utilities and that in such cases, fees in lieu of undergrounding should
substitute for actual construction.
NOI4, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga, California that where the Planning Commission requires
payment of fees in lieu of undergrounding, the fee shall be the appropriate
combination of the following.
1. Electrical Lines - $100 per linear foot.
2. Telephone Lines - $50 per linear foot.
The
occupying the utility poles.
3. Cable T.V. - $10 per linear foot.
fee shall equal the aggregate total amount per linear foot of each utility
