A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A DRAFT EMERGENCY
PREPAREDNESS PLAN
A. Recitals
(i) Government Code Section 8550, et. seq., authorizes the
establishment of an emergency services plan for the coordination of emergency
services within the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
(ii) The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga has heretofore
adopted its Ordinance No. 104 therein establishing the Rancho Cucamonga
Disaster Council and setting forth the duties and pours thereof. In order to
fully implement an emergency plan for the City of Rancho Cucamonga, Ordinance
No. 104 authorizes the City Council to adopt resolutions and ordinances in
furtherance thereof. As such, the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga has found it necessary to adopt a comprehensive emergency plan which
will provide for the organization of emergency services and coordination of
emergency functions within the City and with other public agencies, private
organizations and private persons.
(iii) All legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution
have occurred.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby find, determine and resolve as follows:
1. In all respects as set forth in the Recitals, Part, A, of
this Resolution.
2. Emergen.cy Plan Adopted.
The Multihazard Emergency Services Plan of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga is hereby adopted as the emergency plan of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga and is hereby incorporated by reference and made a part of this
Resolution. Said Plan, plus copies thereof, are currently on file in the
Office of the City Clerk of the City of Rancho Cucamonga and are available for
inspection at that location.
The Multihazard Emergency Services Plan of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga may be amended from time to time by further Resolution of the City
Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga in order to more fully fulfill its
policies and purposes.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
