A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLAN AMENDMENTOF THE
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY TO
PROVIDE FOR THE LIMITED EXPANSION OF HEAPS PEAK REFUSE SITE
LOCATED BETWEEN RUNNING SPRINGS AND SKY FOREST ON STATE
HIGHWAY 18.
WHEREAS, the State of California has adopted the Solid
Waste Management and Resource Recovery Act of 1972 (Sections 66700-
66793, Government Code) and Title 14, California Administrative Code
Sections 17110-17160; and
WHEREAS, said Act requires each county to prepare a Solid
Waste Management Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 17155 Title, California Administrative
Code, requires that plan amendments be approved by a majority of the
cities containing a majority of the population of the incorporated
area; and
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors
has authorized the amendment of said plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby approve said amendment.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 1st day of August, 1979.
