HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-64 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 79-64 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ORDERING TO BE VACATED, A PORTION OF HELLMAN AVENUE, AS SHOWN ON MAP (NO. V-002) ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 79-54, passed on July 5, 1979, tile Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga declared its intention to vacate a portion of a City street hereinafter more particularly described, and set the hour of 7:00 p.m. on August 1, 1979, in the Carnelian Elementary School Multi Purpose Room, 7105 Carnelian, Alta Loma, California, as the time and place for hearing all person objecting to the proposed vacation; and WHEREAS, such public hearing has been held at said time and place, and there were no protests, oral or written, to such vacation; BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows: SECTION 1: The Council hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that a portion of Hellman Avenue is necessary [or present or prospective public street purposes, and the City Council hereby makes its order vacating that portion of said City street as shown on Map No. V-O02 on file in the office of the Clerk of City of Rancho Cucamonga, which has been further described in a legal description which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and by reference made a part thereof. SECTION 2: The Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County, California. SECTION 3: The Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and it shall thereupon take effect and be in force. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 1st day of August, 1979. AYES: Schlosser, Palombo, Bridge, Frost NOES: Mikeis ABSENT: None ATTEST: ~v- ~ ~ LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF HELLMAN AVENUE AT BASE LINE That certain portion of Lot 3, Section 3, Township 1 South, Range 7 West, San Bernardino Meridian, according to map of Cucamonga Fruit Lands, in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the certerlines of Base Line and Hellman Avenue as shown on a map of Tract No. 7292 as recorded in Book 121, pages 38 and 39 in the Office of the San Bernardino County Recorder; thence east along the centerline of Base Line 30.00 feet; thence South 0° 08' 55" East, 50.60 feet to the True Point of Beginning, said point being on the easterly right of way line of Hellman Avenue; thence continuing South 0° 08' 55" East, 80.64 feet to a point on a curve concave southwesterly with a radius of 273.00 feet, a radial bearing through said point bears North 81° 20' 59" East; thence northwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 11° 47' 06", an arc length of 56.15 feet to a point of reverse curve with a curve having a radius of 20.00 feet; thence northeasterly along said curve through a central angle 96© 19' 39", an arc length of 33.62 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
