A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OE THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUC~{ONGA, CALIFORNIA, CERTIFYING THE ENVIRONDIENTAL
I~fPACT REPORT ON THE INTERIM LAND USE, CIRCULATI()N
AND PUBLIC ~ACILITIES ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FOR
THE CITY OF R/LNCHO CUCAMONGA.
k~EREAS, John Blayney and Associates prepared a Land Use,
Circulation and Public Facilities Element and corresponding Environmental
Impact Report of the General Plan for the City of Rancho Cucamonga; and
Wi4EREAS. the City Council has held duly advertised public
bearin%s pursuant to Section 15085 of the California Administrative
Code.
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the Planning Commission
recommendations public testimony and comments and has incorporated such
comments into the~'EIR.
I,~EREAS, the Environmental Impact Report was prepared as an
informational document to the interim Land Use, Circulation and Public
Facilities Element of the General Plan.
SECTION 1: The Rancho Cucamonga City Council has made the
findings:
I. That the Environmental Impact Report was
completed in compliance with the California
Environmental Quality Act and the Stat~~
EIR guidelines.
2. That the elements of the General Plan are
recommt!nded to be adopted on an interim
basis only so that specific aspects can be
studied in more detail durin~ the preparatien
~f the remaining General Plan elements.
3. That specific time limits have been
established for detailed studies and pre-
paration of the remainin~ mandated General
Plan Elements.
4. That the interim Land Use, Circulation and
Public Facilities Elements have incorporated
policies such as: special studies zones
for environmental hazardous areas, the
creation and implementation of ~rading and
zoning ordinance, lower residential densities
in environmentally sensitive areas, and
participation with regional a~encies for
implementation of regional air pollution
problems.
5. That this project reduces the amount of
Ympacts as result of development, in
comparison to the current County General
Plan.
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That pursuant to Section 15085 to 15088 of
the Calitornia Administrative Code, the
City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga
hereby ct,rtifies the Environmental Impact
Report on the Interim Land Use, Circulation
and Public Facilities Elements of the
General Plan on the 7th day of February, 1979.
