A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT
FUNI)~ UNDER THE COMMUNITY PARELAND6 ACT OF 1986 FOR THE
ADDITION OF HARD COURT FACILITIRE TO EACH OF THE F~XISTING
PARE SITES WITHIN THE CITY AND FOR THE CONSTHUCTION OF
NORTHTOWN PAK
WRRNF.4~, the people of the State of California have enacted the
Comm~ity Parklands Act of 19~, which proides funds to the State of
California and its political subdivisions for acquiring and developing
facilities for public recrestioul and historical purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State ~par~ent of Parks and Recreation has been
delegated the responsibility for the a~inistrmtion of the proSrmvithin the
state, setting up necessary procedures g~erninE application by local agencies
under the pr~rm; and
WH~EA~, said procedures established by the State ~parment of Parks
and Recreation r~uire the applic,nt to certify by resolution the appr~al of
application(s) before su~ission of said application(s) to the mtate; and
~F~, said application(s) contain assurances that the applicant
must c~ply with; and
WH~KA~, the applicant agen~ will enter into an agrement with the
State of C, lifornia for acquisition, d, elo~ent, rehabilitation or restoration
of the project(s).
N~, TH~EFORE, ~ IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby:
1. ~pr~es the filin8 of an application for Community
Parklands Act of IgM state ~ant assistance for the
above project(s); and
2. Certifies that said agen~ understands the assurances
and certification in theapplication fom;and
3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient
funds to operate and maintain the project(s); and
4. Certifies that maid agency will cmplete the project(s)
within three years frm ~te of appr~al by the state;
and
5. ~intm the Director of Co~unity Se~ices as agent of
the City of hncho ~camonga to con~ct all
negotiations, execute and muhit all doc~entm
including but not limited to applications, a~ements,
mendeats, pa~ent requests, and so on, which may be
necessary for the cmpletion of the aformentioned
project(m).
