A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCARONGA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENT TO UNIFY THE
STREET NA~S OF HERNOSA AVENUE AND TURNER AVENUE UNDER THE
SINGULAR NAME OF HERHOSA AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it desirable to unify Hermosa/Turner
under a singular name; and
WHEREAS, the unification would provide a singular name for a
continuous street consistent with the street naming policies; and
WHEREAS, a singular name would promote uniformity and avoid confusion
to the public; and
WHEREAS, the name '~ermosa" has historical significance to the area.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga
hereby resolves as lollors:
1. That pursuant to Nunicipal Code Section 12.12.0~0 that
the City Council hereby declares its intent to
initiate a chan$e of street names to unify Hermosa
Avenue and Turner Avenue under the singular name of
Hermosa Avenue.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution and related
material hereby adopted by the City Council shall be
forwarded to the Planning Commission.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 3rd day of December, 1986.
