A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P~NCHO
CUCAHONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION aELD IN THIs CITY OF RANCHO CUCAHONCA ON
NOVD(BER 4, 1986, DECLARING THE RESULT AND SUCH OTHER
MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY THE PROVISIONS OF LAN
~HEREA~, a general municipal election was held and conducted in the
City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, on Tuesday, November 4, 1986, as required
by law; and
WHEREAS, notice of the election was duly and regularly given in time,
fo~m and manner as provided by law; that voting precincts were properly
established; that election officers were appointed and that in all respects the
election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed
and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the
provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of
elections in cities; and
WHERF.~, the Registrar of Voters of the County of San Bernardins
canvassed the returns of the election and has certified the results to this
City Council, the results are received, attached and made a part hereof a,
"Exhibit A'.
NCH, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FaLL(MS:
SECTION 1: That there were 48 voting precincts established for the
purpose of holding said election consisting (of consolidations) of the regular
election precincts in the City of Ranthe Cucamonga as established for the
holding of state and county elections.
SECTION 2: That said regular municipal election was held for the
purpose of electing the following officers and for and against the measure of
said City as required by the laws relating to cities in the State of
California, to wit:
& Mayor of said City for the short term of Lye years;
Two members of the City Council of said City for the full term of four
years;
Measure UU to construct in said City 8 Pre Trial Detention Facility.
SECTION 3: That the number of votes given at each precinct and the
number of votes given in the City to the measure and to each of such persons
above named for the respective offices for which the persons were candidates
were as listed in Exhibit ,&n attached.
SECTION 4: That the whole number of votes cast in said City (except
absent voter ballots) was 16,425.
THat the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in said City was
1,113, making a total of 17,538.
SECTION ~: That the me of person voted for at said election ~or
Mayor of the City Council of said City is as follows: Dennis L. Stout.
That the names of persons voted for at said election for Member of
City Council of said City are as follow: Deborah N. Bream and Charles J.
Buquet.
That the measure voted for at said election of said City is as
fol lows: Measure UU.

That the ntmber of votes given at each precinct and the n,--ber of
votes given in the City to the measure and to each of such persons above named
for the respective offices of which said persons were candidates were ss listed
in Exhibit nan attached.
SECTION 6: The City Council does declare and determine that:
Dennis L. Stout was elected Nayor of the City Council of said City for
the short term of ~o years;
Deborah N. groan was elected as Member of the City Council of said
City for the full term of four years;
Charles J. Buquet was elected as Henbar of the City Council of said
City for the full term of four years;
Measure UU was not passed in said City.
SECTION 7: The City Clerk shall enter on the record of the City
Council of the City, a statement of the result of the election, shoeing: (See
Attachment A)
(1) The whole nunbar of votes cast in the City;
(2) The names of the persons and measure voted for;
(3) For what office each person was voted for;
(4) The number of votes 2ivan in the City to each person and measure.
S~CTIOF ~: That the City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to
each of such persons so elected a Certificate of Election signed by the City
Clerk and duly authenticated; that the City Clerk shall also adsinister to each
person elected the Oa~h of Office prescribed in the State Constitution of the
State of California and shall have them subscrib~ to it and file it in the
Office of the Cit~y Clerk. Each and all of the persons so elected shall then be
inducted into the respective office Co which they have been elected.
SECTIO~ ~: That ~he City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the hook of original Resolutions.
