A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCANONGA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE DESTHUCTION OF CITY
RECORDS AND DOCIB4~TS WHICH ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED AS
PROVIDED UNDER COVERNNENT CODE SECTION 34090 AND HAVE BEEN
NICROFILNKD
WREREAS, it has been determined that certain City records under the
charge of the City Clerk's Department are no longer required for public or
private purposes; and
WHEREAS, it has ~een determined that microfilming and destruction of
the above-mentioned materials is necessary to conserve storage space, reduce
staff time, expense, confusion in handling, and informing the public; and
WHEREAB, said records have been microfilmed in a manner which meets
with the requirements of the National Bureau of Standards for permanent
microphotographic copies, and per Goverment Code Section 34090; and
WHEREAS, it is therefore desirable to destroy said records as listed
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
~REREA~, said records have been approved for destruction by the City
Attorney.
N(N, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCANONCA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That approval and authorization is hereby given to destroy
those records described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof.
~ECTION 2: That the City Clerk is authorized to alice examination by
and donation to the Department of Special Collections of the University
Research Library, University of California, or other historical society
designated by the City Council, any of the records described in Exhibit '~"
attached hereto and made a part hereof, except those deemed to be confidential.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to the'adoption of this
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 5th day of November, 1986.
