A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A REVIEW PROCESS FOR
DEVELOPMENT OF THE LAKES PORTION OF THE VICTORIA PLANNED
COMMUNITY'S VILLAGE OF THE LAKES PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
California, adopted Ordinance Number 143 approving the Victoria Planned
Community on May 20, 1981; and
WHEREAS, a component of the planned community calls for development
of The Village of the Lakes; and
WHEREAS, The Village design requires the public improvement of
twenty-four acres to include thirteen acres of lakes, six acres of trails and
five acres of park as shown on Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is vitally interested in both the proper
development and design of this project and to assure the community's best
interest is represented.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby resolve Development of the Lake Project shall be brought forward to the
full Council at key points per the following schedule:
1. Prior to the development of construction drawings a presentation
shall be made to the City Council for acceptance of the
conceptual design of the lakes and surrounding park lands
including but not limited to:
program use of the lakes facilities
grading plan
lake design options
lake edge treatment
mechanical and structural features
design criteria for parking and trail widths
input from emergency services agencies
maintenance plan of lakes and surrounding park lands
2. Prior to staff approval of the construction drawings and final
bid package a presentation will be made to City Council for
final acceptance.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 1989.
