W~JDT,~ ,'~:, COASTAL, AND PARK IAND OONSERVATION ACT OF 1988
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Rancho Cucamong~ approves tb~
application fc~ Grant Funds for the Per Capita Grant Prow~m for tb~ acq~mition
of Trend for t-he North Fm~t Coam~nity Park.
WH~REAS, the people of the State of California have enac~ the
California Wildlife, Coastal, and Park Land Conservation Act of 1988, which
provides funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for
acquiring and/or developing facilities for public recreational and open space
WH~IREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been
delegated the responsibility for the administration of tb~ program within the
state, setting up necessary procedures governing application by local agencies
WH~RFAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks
and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of
application(s) before suk~ission of said application(s) to the state; and
WM~REAS, said application(s) oontain assurances that the applicant
must c~ly with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of
California for acquisition or develop~.~nt of the project(s);
NOW, THEREFORE, the city Council of the city of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. Approves the filling of an application for the Per
Capita Grant Prow~m under the California Wildlife,
Coastal, and Park Land Conservation Act of 1988 state
grant assistance for the above project(s); and
2. Certifies that said applicant understands the
assurances and certification in t_he application form;
3. Certifies that said applicant has or will have
sufficient funds to operate and maintain the
project(s); and

4. Appoints the Acting City Manager as agent of the City
of l~ancho O/camonga to conduct all negotiations,
execute and submit all documents including, but not
limited to applications, agreements, amendments,
payments requests and so on, which may be necessary for
the c~,~letion of the aforementioned project(s).
