A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, TO AWARD AND EXECUTE A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MADOLE AND
ASSOCIATES OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA TO PREPARE
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES FOR AMEII~YST STREET
AND STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS FROM 19TH STREET TO HIGHLAND
AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga desires to improve Amethyst
Stree~ 'as a secondary size north-south thoroughfare between 19th Street and
Highland Avenue, and a Master Plan Storm Drain in the same area.
WHEREAS, the firm of Madole and Associates has represented as
qualified to perform the services in the Request for Proposal and was chosen
by the City Engineering Staff to provide professional engineering services for
field surveys, engineering design, studies and calculations for the
preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for the Area II Storm Drain
in and east of Amethyst Street from 19th Street north to Highland Avenue and
widening of Amethyst Street from north of 19th Street to Highland Avenue.
NOW, ll~EREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby resolve to award and execute a Professional Services Agreement with
Madole and Associates to provide professional engineering services to prepare
plans, specifications and estimates for the Area II Storm Drain east of
Amethyst Street from lgth Street north to Highland Avenue and widening of
Amethyst Street from north of lgth Street to Highland Avenue. Such work shall
be performed for a fee not to exceed $18,276.00 to be funded by Systems
Development Fund Account No. 23-4637-8865. A contingency fund in an amount of
10% of the contract amount shall also be established for use under the
approval and direction of the City Engineer for extra work or Change Order
during the course of plan preparation.

California, at a 'regular meeting of said City Council held on the 1st day of
February, 1989.
