WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation C~m.~ssion has held a duly
advertised public hearing to ~onsider all c~,m~nts on the proposed Point of
Historic /_nterest Designation and Issued Resolution No. 88-20 rec~%l~_md~ng to
this City Council that said Point of Historic /3fcerest Designation be approved.
WIll,REAM, the City Council has received and reviewed all input fr~n the
Historic Preservation O~m.~ssion recyarding said Point of Historic Interest
Designation.
WHerEAS, all legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution
have occurred.
N~W, THt~REFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby specifically find, determine, and resolve as follows:
SECr±ON 1: The application applies to the buildings built in 1914 and
1929 on t_he property located at Assessor Parcel Number 202-151-/2.
SEurlON 2: The proposed Point of Historic Intarest meets the
following criteria established in Chapter 2.24.090 of the Rancho Cucamonga
Municipal Code:
A. Historical and Cultural Significance:
1. The proposed Point of Historic Interest is
particularly representative of a historical
period, style, region, and way of life.
2. %~e proposed Point of Historic Interest is an
exanple of a t~pe of building which was once

connected with important local personalities.
4. The proposed Point of Historic Interest is
connected with a business or use which was once
c~m~n but is now rare.
B. Neighborhood and Geographic Setting:

SEer±ON 4: Based on the substantial evidence received and reviewed by
this Council and based on the fima~ngs set forth above.
NOW, TH~RE~-~RE, the City Council of the city of Rancho Cucamonga does
approv~ the designation of the Alta Lc~a Heights Citrus Association Packing
House as a Point of Historic Interest.
