HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-70 - ResolutionsRESOLUTION NO. 86-70 A RESOLUTIOH OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAHCHO CUCAHONGA ADOPTING THE PRELIMINARY STATE)(EHT OF COMMUNITY OBJECTIVES AND SELECTING PROJECTS FOR PRELIMINARY FUNDING FOR TRB COHJeNIl~ DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRA~ FOR FISCAL YEAR 1986/87 WgxREAS, the City of Ksncho Cucamonga is an Entitlement City under the regulations governing the Community Development Block Gran{ Program; and WHEREAS, notice of the availability of funds for was published in the Daily Report and mailed ~o inCeres{ed and eligible projects cossunit~ groups; WHEREAS, ~he City Staff has received proposals for projects and programs from various nrganisations in the CommnitT; and WHER~A~, the City Staff has conducted a needs assessment to determine program eligibility and needs; and WHENesa, the City Council has held a legally noticed 'public hearing in order to give Cbe public an opportunity to respond to staff recomsendations for pro2ramfunding and to put forth for Council consideration recommendations for their o~n; and W!~BAS, the City Council bag heard public testimony and received all public input regarding the City's Community Development Block Grant Program for the next program year. NOW, TRBRXFORE, Bg IT R~OLVXD, that the City Council of the City of Ranthe CucnRonga does boreby take the felineinS actions: Determine that operation of the Housing R~habilitation program in the flood plain is the most practical and desirable of the alternatives, and the proposed mitigation measures are sufficient. If relocation of households or business is necessar7 as the result of a Commnity Development Block Grant program, the adopted relocation policy will be followed. Co Select for preliminar7 funding the following projects and programs to be funded out of the City's Community Development Block Grant award in the following order of prioriC~y: 1. Housing Rehabilitation $ 80,000 2. Turner Avenue Widening $225,000 3. SW Cucaaonga Street Improvements $295,000 4. Arrow Route Improvements $200,000 5. Senior Shared Housing $ 6,000 6. Southwest CucaRonga Park Acquisition $300,000 Local Costs/Program Implementation a. Future Projects $ 7,000 b. Program Administration $ 20,720 c. Prograss Management $ 19,780 d.
