CUCANONGA, CALIFORI~IA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF GENERAL
NUNICIPAL ZLECTIOIe TO BE B~LD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE
4TH DAY OF NOVENBER, 1986 FOR THE ELECTIOt~ OF CERTAIN
OFFICERS OF THE CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIaeS OF THE
LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO C~leBRAL LAW
CITIES, AND CO!~SOLIDATING SAID ELECTIO!e WITH STATENIDE
GENERAL ELECTIOle TO BE HELD Oie SAID DATE
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of October, 1984 the City Council of the City
of Rancho CucamonSa adopted Ordinance leo. 236 setting the date of the City's
General Nunicipal Election to be held in November of even numbered years,
pursuant to Section 36503.5 of the California Government Code; and
W~EREAS, the Board of Supervisors of San Bernerdino County,
California, at their meetinz of Februaz7 25, 1985 did approve and adopt said
ordinance and referred same to the Registrar of Voters; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Rancho Cucamonga did mail
notices to ell registered voters in the City of Rancbo Cucamonga, pursuant to
Section 36503.5(e) that the election date for the General Nunicipal Election in
said City, heretofore held on the second Tuesday in April of even-numbered
years, has been changed to be held on the first Tuesday after the first Nonday
in November of even-numbered years and will be consolidated with the Statewide
General Election; and
WREREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to General Law
Cities in the State of California, a general mnicipel election shall be held
on Tuesday, November 4, 1986 for the election of Nunicipal Officers:
N(N, THEREFORE, TaN CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAIeCHO CUCAMO~GA,
CALIFOENIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERNINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTI(!~ 1: That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State
of California relatlns to General Law Cities within said State, there shall be,
and there is hereby called and ordered, held in the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
County of San Bernerdino, State of California, on Tuesday, the 4th day of
November, 1986 a General 14unicipal Election of the qualified electors of said
City for the purpose of electing a Nayor of the City of Rancho Cucamonga for a
full term of ~vo years; and two Nembers of the City Council of the City Council
of the City for the full term of four years.
SECTI(]~ 2: That the General Nunicipal Election hereby called for the
date hereinbefore specified shall be and is hereby ordered consolidated with
the statewlde General Election to be held on said date within the City. The
proceedings, polling places and officers for the General !4unicipal Election
hereby called shall be the same as those provided for said statewide General
Election. The Board of Supervisors of San Bernsrdino County is hereby
requested to order the consolidation of the General Nunicipal Election hereby
called with said Statewlde General Election, and said Registrar of Voters is
hereby authorized to canvass the returns of said General Nunicipal Election and
said election shall be held in all respects as if there were only one election
and one formal ballot, namely the ballot used at said General Election shall be
used. Said Registrar of Voters shall supervise the canvass of said returns for
said General Nunicipal Election and transmit said returns to the City Council
of said City which shall thereafter declare the results thereof.
SECTI(i~ 3: The City of Rancho Cucamonga shall reimburse said County
for services performed when the work is completed and upon presentation to the
City of a properly approved bill.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Rancho Cucamouga is directed
to forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of
Voters, each a certified copy of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 2nd day of July, 1986.
